Included are periodic updates of fire losses, the development of this section’s annual report, preparation of news releases, presentations, fire safety material development and distribution. The development of public service announcements fall within this area. Some of these are calendar-driven, such as scheduled fire safety messages and others are event driven, such as the status of annual fire fatalities. Public speaking opportunities and displays at fire service association conferences and public forums are used to promote public fire education activities.
