South Carolina payment of wages and child labor laws are administered by the Wages and Child Labor section in the S.C. Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation. In fiscal year 2009, the office investigated 954 wage complaints and cited 2,770 violations. The office also investigated 12 child labor complaints which resulted in 6 citations issued.
