Training Description

OSHA 10 Hour Construction Course

This is a two - day course where various OSHA standards will be covered. Upon successful completion of this course, the student will receive a course completion pocket card from the United States Department of Labor. This completion card can be used to document safety and health training accomplishments.

While a pre - and post –test will be given, the only completion requirement is that students must attend all 10 hours of classroom instruction.

There is a cafeteria onsite at the fire academy for those wishing to eat onsite. The menu offers a variety of choices from day to day, something to meet everyone's dietary needs. The price is $6.00 and includes your choice of meat and veggies, salad bar, dessert and drink. If you intend to eat on site please signify so on the registration form. Send no Money!!! Pay onsite the day of the training!!!!

Consultation:

In addition to providing training programs, the OVP offers consultation services and technical assistance to S.C. employers. These services assist employers in recognizing safety and health hazards and in improving overall safety and health programs.

Upon request, OVP services are free to private and public sector employers. No fines or citations will be imposed.
