Welcome to the Office of Licensure
and Compliance (OLC) Web site.
Who We Are
The South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (LLR) on July 1, 2008, established OLC to consolidate processes dealing with initial licensure applicants, annual and biennial renewal applicants and licensees requiring compliance of board orders. This was done to achieve consistency among professional programs, so we could provide you with a higher quality of customer service.
What We Do
OLC is responsible for licensing and regulating the activities of more than 130 professions and occupations with a license base of more than 250,000 individuals and businesses. OLC's goal is to make South Carolina a better and safer place to work and live.
