IMPORTANT RENEWAL INFORMATION

2015 RENEWAL PERIOD HAS ENDED.

Licenses which expired on June 30, 2015 and were not renewed before January 1, 2016 have been canceled as required by law. This is a mandatory cancellation and non discretionary.

S.C. Code 40-5-110
(H) A license must be renewed in accordance with procedures established by the department pursuant to Section 40-1-50(E). It is the licensee's responsibility to renew the license whether or not notice is received.

(I) A license which has not been renewed by its date of expiration is lapsed and may be reinstated within six months following expiration upon payment of applicable fees plus penalties as provided for in Section 40-57-70.

(J) A license which has lapsed and has not been reinstated by the last day of the sixth month following expiration must be canceled.

If your license has been canceled, in order to become licensed again you must re-apply and re-qualify for examination/licensure. Pre-licensing courses must have been completed within the past 5 years to be utilized when qualifying for licensure.

2016 RENEWALS GO ONLINE MAY 1ST 2016

South Carolina Real Estate Licensees (except non-renewal provisional sales) with a June 30, 2016 expiration date may renew their licenses starting on May 1st, 2016. We encourage all expiring licensees to please renew online. Individuals who are required to report disciplinary action, criminal convictions or pending criminal charges since last renewal will need to submit additional documentation and will be provided an email address during the renewal process for submission. Login information will be included in the header of your renewal notice.
